11: Gone Fishing
I’m on vacation this week. My brain is smooth and empty, so I don’t have any reflections this time around. I’ll be back with more next week.
What I wrote:
If you missed my essay about Bad Times at the El Royale at the beginning of the month, it’s been excerpted over at RogerEbert.com.
What I talked about:
Kevin and I reviewed Jordan Peele’s latest movie NOPE on this week’s episode of Seeing & Believing. We also watched Buck and the Preacher, a 1972 Western directed by and starring Sidney Poitier and co-starring Harry Belafonte.
I talked to Josh Larsen and Joe George about Marcel the Shell with Shoes On and the HBO TV series Julia for the Think Christian podcast.
What I’m reading:
I’m rereading Jane Austen’s Persuasion (my favorite of her novels). Thoughts on the movie adaptation to come, once the wrinkles in my brain grow back.
