64: Out of Office
I'm on vacation at the beach, likely cooking up a sunburn and hopefully forgetting what day it is. I'll be back next week with something more substantial. Hope you all are well.

What I talked about:
For Seeing & Believing podcast, Kevin and I took a step back from last week's Barbenheimer spectacle and reviewed two much more restrained movies: Christian Petzold's Afire, which is out in arthouse theaters this month, and Colm Bairéad's The Quiet Girl, which was one of last year's Best International Feature Oscar nominees, and which we'd both missed until one of our Patreon patrons requested it.
John Bleasdale had me on his Writers on Film podcast to talk about my book, Becoming Alien. We had an excellent, wide-ranging conversation about xenomorphs and the problem of evil.
What I'm reading:
Did I bring my copy of Infinite Jest to the beach? You bet I did.
